The Sydney Sings Showcase is much more than a student concert. It is a professionally presented performance that gives emerging singers the invaluable opportunity to experience the thrill of performing before a live audience in a warm, supportive and encouraging environment. Family, friends and members of the community are warmly invited to share in this special occasion and celebrate the remarkable progress and achievements of these gifted young performers.

Each singer will present a carefully prepared programme of favourite songs spanning musical theatre, opera, classical, contemporary and popular repertoire. Every performance represents months of dedication, courage and hard work, making this a truly uplifting event for performers and audience members alike.

The Showcase will feature distinguished pianist Sophie Spargo, whose exceptional musicianship and sensitive accompaniment provide the ideal support for each singer. Together, they will create an afternoon of memorable performances that celebrate the joy of live music and the transformative power of singing.

Held in the magnificent Ante-Chapel of St John's College, The University of Sydney, the Showcase enjoys one of Sydney's most beautiful and intimate performance spaces. With its warm, resonant acoustic, the venue is perfectly suited to young voices, allowing every performance to be heard with clarity, warmth and natural beauty. The elegant surroundings create a unique concert experience that audiences of all ages will enjoy.

To ensure every performance is beautifully preserved, the concert will be professionally photographed and filmed using high-quality audio and video equipment. Performers have the opportunity to purchase an optional Performance Portfolio Package, including professionally edited HD video of their performance together with a selection of high-resolution photographs. These valuable resources provide lasting memories while also serving as professional promotional material for auditions, competitions, scholarship applications, agency submissions, websites and showreels.
