THE MAGIC OF LIVE THEATRE, PLUS THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC VOTE!This is a unique educational experience where students get to watch live theatre performances written especially for young people, and then do something very powerful - vote to choose the winning play. It's about storytelling, creativity, democracy and giving young people a voice.
Our goal this year is for schools across the Gold Coast to attend, so we can pack the theatre at HOTA!
Importantly, attendance at the event is completely free for the schools and the students. The Foundation has transport funding available of up to $6,000 to assist public schools with travel costs to and from the event, helping to remove financial barriers to participation. Please let us know if you will require transport assistance.
The event is for students in year 5 to year 10. When booking your ticket, please also register any teachers or chaperones that will be in attendance.
Arrival: 10:00am
Doors open: 10:30am
Plays commence: 11:00am
Event Concludes 12:45pm
