War enthusiast, Nick Smyth, relates the compelling story of one man's miraculous survival, beginning with the fateful night he became the sole survivor when his Lancaster plane was shot down over Germanys heartland. Following 8 months of incarceration as a POW in Germany, at the end of the war, Lloyd Leah then began a desperate mission to find his way back to England for medical treatment.
Growing up Nick Smyth developed an interest in Australian Military History and has visited Gallipoli, the Western Front and has trekked the Kokoda trail. More recently he has liaised with ex-Lancaster navigator, Lloyd Leah, to present his amazing story.
