Our Teacher Librarian & Educator Book Chat afternoon is great for networking and checking out what's new on our shelves. We hope this is an opportunity for TL's & Educators to network and share wisdom with like minded colleagues.We have special guests, Jenny Stubbs & Sandhya Parappukkaran to launch the newest ‘Travelling Suitcase’.
Book Links’ Travelling Suitcases allow you to go behind the scenes and into the studios and workspaces of top award-winning authors and illustrators to discover how they create their stories through words and images. There are now seven creators you can select from to borrow for free.
The cases include a selection of books, edited manuscripts and a video of the creators at work. Activities to use in the classroom and in public libraries are included to extend Literature and Arts learning. The Travelling Suitcases will be of particular use to regional, rural and remote schools, and public libraries who have limited or no access to visiting authors and illustrators. They may also be of interest to emerging writers and illustrators to view the process of book creation.
