We warmly invite you into a day of women's ceremony in the rainforest of Currumbin Valley.

Held amongst the fire, the stones and the forest that have carried years of prayer, this gathering offers a space to slow down, listen deeply, and return to yourself.

Temazcal is a traditional ceremonial way of prayer carried throughout parts of the Americas and continues to be held by Indigenous families and communities today. More than simply a sweat lodge, it is a ceremony of prayer, remembrance and relationship.

This gathering brings together Women's Circle and Temazcal, offering an opportunity to gather in sisterhood, reconnect with the body, and deepen our relationship with ourselves, one another and the sacred feminine.

The focus for this gathering is Sacred Sexuality returning to the wisdom, innocence, strength and creative power that already lives within us.

A Women's Lodge

There is something unique that happens when women gather together in ceremony.

Stories are shared.

Songs are sung.

Prayers are spoken.

A space opens where women can be witnessed, supported and held by one another.

Whether this is your first Temazcal or one of many, you are warmly welcome.

You do not need to arrive with experience.

Only sincerity.

Only a willingness to come exactly as you are.

This Gathering: Sacred Sexuality

In our previous circles we explored the power of self-knowledge.

We learned about our bodies and the memories they carry through family, society and inherited patterns.

Together we began recognising how our past has shaped the women we are today.

One of the most beautiful things to witness has been seeing women believing in themselves more deeply embracing their gifts, trusting their intuition and walking towards their dreams with greater confidence.

This cycle invites us one step further.

Together we will explore Sacred Sexuality.

Not through the lens of performance, shame or social conditioning.

But through remembering the profound creative power we carry as women.

We are the vessels through which life enters the world.

That alone makes sexuality sacred.

Yet in today's culture, sexuality has often become disconnected from relationship, reverence and responsibility.

Many women grow into adulthood never having truly spoken about sexuality in an open, safe and loving space.

Many long to awaken their Divine Feminine while still carrying wounds that belong to the inner child.

This gathering offers an invitation to move gently through that journey.

First we care for the little girl within.

We honour her.

We protect her.

We learn to walk beside her.

From there, our feminine can mature.

She becomes rooted rather than performed.

Embodied rather than imagined.

This is not about becoming someone different.

It is about remembering who you already are.

Together we will gently explore questions such as:

• What do I truly know about my sacred sexuality?

• What have I inherited from family, culture and society?

• What deserves healing?

• What deserves celebration?

• How are sexuality and spirituality connected?

• How do I integrate what I receive in ceremony into everyday life?

There is no expectation to share.

You are invited simply to come with an open heart.

To listen.

To learn.

To remember.

The Temazcal

The ceremony itself is held within a traditional lodge structure.

Throughout the day, stones are heated in the Grandfather Fire and brought into the lodge through four ceremonial rounds.

Some lodges are powerful and intense.

Others are gentle and deeply nourishing.

We are not a military-style lodge family.

Every ceremony is guided according to the women present and what is genuinely needed within the space.

There is medicine in intensity.

There is also medicine in subtlety.

Both are welcome.

The Currumbin Valley Lodge

Our lodge is held on private land in the rainforest of Currumbin Valley.

For years, prayers have been offered on this land.

The stones used in ceremony have been gathered from this place, and the forest itself becomes part of the experience.

The central prayer carried by our fire family is the healing and strengthening of family and community.

This prayer lives within every ceremony we hold.

The Day

7:30am: The Grandfather Fire is lit

This is a beautiful part of the day where our women's support team gathers to light the first spark of the Grandfather Fire that will carry the prayers of the ceremony. The fire is tended with care, preparing the stones and the space before the wider community arrives.

8:00am - 9:00am: Arrival

We warmly invite all sisters to begin arriving from 8:00am and no later than 9:00am.

This gives everyone time to settle into the land, connect with one another, make offerings and arrive gently into the space before we begin.

Just after 9:00am Women's Circle

We gather together to introduce the theme of the day, share what is alive within the circle and prepare ourselves before entering the lodge.

10:00am Temazcal Ceremony

Together we enter the lodge in prayer.

Approximately 1:00pm Community Meal

Following ceremony we will gather back around the fire to share a warm meal together.

Soup will be lovingly prepared for everyone, and we invite each sister to bring something small to contribute to the shared table fruit, snacks, sweets or something simple to enjoy together.

Sharing food after ceremony has become one of the most beautiful parts of our gatherings. It allows time to integrate, deepen conversations and continue building community around the fire.

What to Bring

• Offerings for the land (flowers, tobacco, crystals or natural offerings)

• Long dress, skirt and blouse, or sarong for ceremony

• Towel and change of clothes

• Rattles, drums or instruments if you feel called to contribute to the songs

• A small plate of fruit, snacks, sweets or something simple to share after ceremony

• An open heart and a willingness to arrive just as you are.

Important Information

Women who are beyond their first trimester of pregnancy are welcome to participate. If you are unsure whether the ceremony is suitable for you, please reach out before booking.

Giving Back

This year, 7% of all proceeds from our ceremonies are returned directly to our international fire family.

These funds support the ongoing vision of carrying and protecting these ceremonial ways through the spine of the Americas; from Patagonia in the south of Chile to Alaska in the north, alongside the continued growth of Kiva, Vision Quest, Sundance Temazcal ceremonies dedicated to prayer, service and cultural preservation.

By attending ceremony, you are helping support not only your local community but also the wider family carrying these traditions across generations and continents.

To Tom Cook, Milo Yellowhair and Loretta Afraid-of-bear Cook our sundance elders from Black Hills who travel every year to Chile and to Mexico to bring the Lakota medicine of sundance as well as the prayer they hold in their sacred black hills land of pine ridge.
