2026 Scouts Operation Night Owl
Night Owl is a hike camp, focused on working on Bush Walking OAS Levels 3-5. Scouts need to sleep in hike tents and plan a weekend hike menu to cover their food requirements for the entire weekend
This year Night Owl will focus on I-Can statements for the three OAS levels.
Saturday afternoon and evening is a full 6 hour hike. Scouts will carry a pack which includes appropriate clothing, first aid kit, survival blankets, a plastic rain poncho and the food and equipment required to cook dinner.
The track could be very wet and muddy and appropriate hike footwear should be worn.
There will be five stops on the hike, including four activities and a meal stop. The activities are fun and will only be marked for team work and participation.
