JKAA Spring Gasshuku & National Championships

About the Event:The JKAA Spring Gasshuku is an all‑inclusive training weekend that also provides full entry into all events of the JKAA National Championships. All Gasshuku participants are eligible to compete at no additional cost. We encourage all members to review the championship categories and enter the divisions appropriate to your age and rank. Whether you are new to competition or a returning athlete, the Nationals are an opportunity to challenge yourself, support your dojo, and be part of a national‑level JKAA event.
Training Requirements:
A white Karate Dō‑gi is required for all training sessions. Only JKA badge allowed on Dō‑gi.
Participants must bring appropriate protective equipment: JKA approved mitts, clear mouthguard, females chest protector, males groin protector, and any other required items.
1st and 2nd Dan Gradings & D Level Instructor, Judge and Examiner Qualification Examinations:
Dan gradings and qualification examinations require prior approval from Chief Instructor Phil Young Sensei. Approval must be obtained no later than 27 August 2026.
Waiver, Release & Indemnity:
All participants are required to complete the Waiver, Release and Indemnity Form before taking part in the event. A link to the form will be included in your TryBooking confirmation email.
