After a sufficient passage of time — is it 40 years, or perhaps even 50? Who can quite remember? What we do remember are the fabulous times we all shared.

The time has come for a gathering of all ex-Bylibbers — or Burwood Old Libs —  to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate the truckload of fun we had back in the roaring seventies and eighties.

Date: Sunday 6 December 2026, from 2.00 pm

Venue: The Hawthorn Hotel, 481 Burwood Road, Hawthorn -  (close to Glenferrie Station - a great space for us to gather)

Agenda

• Fun and memories
• Finger food mid-afternoon and refreshments of your own choosing
• Drinkies at the bar
• Laughter
• Memory tests and surprises — who will you recognise?
• Embarrassing moments
• ABBA music

Nothing formal, of course — but who knows? The odd photo, maybe even a movie or film, might get an airing. There may also be a poem, and quite possibly the Nutbush.

We request a contribution of $25 to help secure your place. This will cover the venue and delicious finger food. Drinks purchased from our private bar!

The venue is spacious, so we can stay longer if we wish. Dinner after 6.00 pm is also an option for the gas baggers among us.

An ad hoc committee has arisen to facilitate this event: Chris, Jo, Sue, Don, Kathy and Tom.

Please spread the word and let others know, so we can build a contact list for the event.

Exciting times are not gone — we can do this again! We are very much looking forward to seeing everyone on the day.
