Introducing Looking Glass Factory’s Hololuminescent™ Display
About
New York-based Looking Glass Factory are global leaders in holographic and light field display technologies.
Trying to understand complex information in three dimensions or creating presence in an increasingly distracted world are the two key problems Looking Glass sought to solve with their holographic displays.
In 2019, they launched the world’s first desktop holographic dev kit, then followed it up in 2020 with the Looking Glass Portrait, the first spatial display designed for 3D creators. In 2022, it announced the Looking Glass 65”, the world’s largest holographic display, then in 2023 it debuted the first holographic display built on Spatial OLED technology.
In 2025, Looking Glass revealed its Hololuminescent™ Display (HLD), a fundamentally new type of holographic technology that combines 2D display layers with a 3D holographic volume. The Creative Futures team acquired one of the first of these displays in Australia which is now proudly installed in the CreatorsLAB, ECU's new creative innovation studio, at ECU City.
Join the team live from New York in the CreatorsLAB to discover the opportunities this exciting technology presents to creatives, academics, product developers, architects, advertisers, and so many more whilst getting the opportunity to interact with the new 27” Hololuminescent™ Display (HLD).
