About
This year marks our inaugural Middle East Area of Operations (MEAO) Service and lunch on 10th August. Up until this year our sub Branch focused on Victory in the Pacific (VP) Day as our additional event to Anzac Day and Remembrance Day. Last year was the 80th anniversary of VP Day on 15th August,and the decision has been made to move to a more contemporary event. This in no way diminishes the importance of VP Day and the sacrifice of so many in World War II but is recognition of the impact on current veterans of over 30 years of continuous Australian Defence Force operations in the Middle East. We hope that a number of MEAO Veterans and their families will attend.
The Service will start at 1130, with seating beginging at 1115, followed by Lunch at 1200.
You will only need to buy a ticket if you will be attending the Lunch.
