A Japanese documentary (English subtitled) portrays the heartwarming relationship between Katsuko Yamamoto (“Kakko-chan”), a teacher at a special needs school in Ishikawa, Japan, and the children she works with.Through her daily interactions with the children, Kakko-chan discovers the unique gifts, kindness, and strength that each person carries within them. These encounters reveal a deeper message: even though we are all different, each of us is whole and precious, and our lives are connected through something greater.
By the end of the film, you may find yourself wanting to hold yourself—and others—with a little more kindness.
