The Way We Care - Sydney Screening
'Children don't need more reports. They need real relationships'
About
Protection comes through connection.
The Way We Care is a new documentary exploring what becomes possible when relationships, connection and belonging are placed at the heart of how we care for children.
The film follows young people with lived experience of out of home care, alongside carers, practitioners and community leaders who are working towards a different future for children and families.
Hosted by the Centre for Relational Care, the screening will be followed by a conversation exploring what the film means for the way we care for children, families and communities in NSW.
The film runs for approximately 30 minutes, followed by a panel discussion and time to gather afterwards.
We would love you to join us and be part of the conversation. We want everyone who wants to attend to feel able to come, so if cost is a barrier, please let us know and we'll arrange a free ticket for you.
Content note: the film includes themes and content relating to childhood trauma and the out-of-home care system that are not suitable for children.
Tickets are $10 and include a drink and popcorn. Everyone is welcome so if cost is a barrier, please let us know and we’ll send you a code for a complimentary ticket.
