Limited spots available.Braulio Aguilera is a Melbourne-based artist specializing in oil painting and portraiture. Originally from Chile, he is a self-taught artist whose practice combines classical painting techniques with contemporary influences drawn from cinema, photography, popular culture, and personal storytelling.
Before focusing on his artistic career, Braulio worked in the advertising industry, developing experience in visual communication, branding, and creative problem-solving. This background continues to influence his approach to composition, narrative, and audience engagement.
His paintings explore emotion, identity, and human connection through portraits and figurative work, often inspired by vintage aesthetics, film, and contemporary culture. Through his work, he seeks to create meaningful emotional connections and celebrate authentic human experiences.
As an instructor, Braulio encourages students to develop both technical skills and their own creative voice. He enjoys leading workshop sessions through hands-on experiences, guiding participants in creating simple and accessible projects with a strong focus on creativity, exploration, and fun.
