Story break down:
Write Me a Song is a one-person musical about Rodger, a young songwriter chasing his dream of making music.
In Act 1, Rodger struggles to find his voice as a writer while exploring his love of music, his childhood memories, and his dream of performing in a band. His imagination brings his world to life as he builds confidence and creativity. The act ends with a phone call from a long-lost friend that changes everything.
In Act 2, Rodger’s life takes a difficult turn as he faces serious personal challenges. He uses music to process what is happening, reconnects with his past, and reflects on his life, friendship, and dreams.
As the story comes to a close, Rodger finds meaning and peace through the songs he has created.
