👤 About Your Instructor
Matthew Dear is a highly trained and experienced dance professional, holding an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (2013) and a Bachelor of Musical Theatre from Griffith University (2016). He also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (2025), ensuring every class is delivered with a strong foundation in professional teaching practice. Matthew was mentored by Robert Sturrock and continues to benefit from his guidance and teachings to this day. Throughout his career, Matthew has performed alongside Australian artists, on cruise ships, on live television, and for the big screen. Matthew is also a proud member of the Australian Dance Adjudicators Association, bringing valuable industry insight and expertise to his training. With a passion for developing the next generation of performers, he is committed to helping students refine their technique, build confidence, and prepare for the demands of professional dance pathways.
Matthew holds a valid Working With Children Check, which is available upon request.
