Want to know more about Open Floor? This Sat workshop series provides a dance and mediation journey with a deeper exploration of the content of what makes up the Open Floor Practice.

This workshop will provide a great dance with a deeper enquiry into the OPEN FLOOR content and Including the Movement Meditation Cycle (sitting, walking, dancing)
There will be a 1hr break for lunch offering options for solo time, connection and belonging!

'As on the Floor, as in Life', this resource based dance and movement practice (and tool kit) aims to support and enrich our lives, our relationship with ourselves, with another, with community. and with the greater field of existence. Fostering Enquiry this practice encourages a deepening of understanding, pathways for regulation, supportive of health & wellbeing and can fuel and bring more of up to our creativity and artistry. Along with this, compassion can be deepened along with our relationship with ourselves, with one another, comminuties and the greater field of existence.

Come and deepen your DANCE practice and support your Embodiment, your Presence and Mindfulness through the enquiry and mindfulness practice of Open Floor Conscious Dance and Meditation.

CAR PARKING along surrounding streets is unmetered and 2 hr parking unrestricted from 12.30 pm on Sat
There are 2 TRAIN Stations nearby with approx. 5min walk. Nth Melb. or Arden Stations.

OPEN FLOOR PRACTICE:

The Movement Cycle, Core Movement Resources and the use of Body Parts as Anchors along with support our dance in Solitude, Connection, Belonging and with the greater field of Connection and Existence, are some of the Open Floor frame work that structures this practice.

You are not required to have previous 'dancer' experience, just a preparedness to show up with yourself, others and practice being with yourself and others, enquiring and finding out what your dance is in each moment as we MOVE & INCLUDE in the present.

This practice is conducted with a held, safe, respectful, non-judgmental space.
It is a practice free from substance use, drugs, alcohol and tech devices (no Phones)
We Dance with bare feet or non slip soft shoes that allow for you to feel your feet on the ground.
