A four-day intensive designed specifically for dancers preparing for the Youth Grand Prix Australia Semi-Finals, combining competition preparation, individual feedback, performance development and access to future training opportunities.

EXPERT FACULTY

Krista King-Doherty
Internationally acclaimed teacher and award-winning choreographer whose students have earned top honors at Youth America Grand Prix for more than two decades. A four-time recipient of YAGP’s Outstanding Choreographer Award, Krista is widely respected for her success in developing young dancers and guiding them toward international opportunities. Her choreography has been featured at leading ballet competitions and festivals worldwide, as well as on NBC’s World of Dance. As a sought-after coach, adjudicator, and master teacher, Krista brings extensive expertise in competition preparation, artistic development, and professional training pathways.

Juliet Doherty
Two-time Gold Medalist at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) International Finals in both the Junior Women’s and Senior Women’s divisions. She has firsthand experience navigating one of the world’s leading ballet competitions and has since built an international career across dance, film, and education. Juliet is known for her leading roles in High Strung: Free Dance, Driven to Dance, and The Red Shoes: Next Step, and has performed at venues including the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and Radio City Music Hall. She teaches and choreographs internationally for pre-professional dancers, companies, and universities, bringing a practical understanding of both artistic development and professional opportunities within the dance industry. At age 15, Juliet became one of the youngest TEDx speakers, presenting on the power of mindful practice. Most recently, she appeared in Ballerina, the fifth film in the John Wick franchise.

Together, Krista and Juliet offer dancers practical, individualised guidance that extends beyond competition day, from preparation and performance to scholarships, auditions and long-term training pathways.
