Thinking Theologically About Social Institutions
About
Thinking Theologically About Social Institutions brings together experts in theology and social science to reflect on the theological significance of social institutions such as not-for-profit charities, welfare organisations, and the military. How might institutions that often have complex and evolving relationships with the Church better understand the theological dimensions of their history, purpose, and mission? Featuring Professor Johannes Eurich (Heidelberg University), Professor Craig Furneaux (QUT), Jessica Grant, and Stephen Harrison, the seminar will explore how theology can illuminate the role of social institutions in contemporary society through presentations, panel discussion, and conversation.Date
