Please join us for a presentation and Q&A with Deputy Integrity Commissioner, Paxton Booth. Mr Booth will share information about the following:- The functions of the Office of the Queensland Integrity Commissioner (OQIC);
- The services the OQIC provides to designated persons under the Integrity Act 2009 (Qld) including disclosure requirements and protections available when ethics and integrity advice is sought;
- Explaining the obligation created by section 40F of the Integrity Act on statutory office holders;
- Provide examples of how section 40F interacts with statutory office holders’ enabling legislation and how to manage conflicts of interest;
- How the OQIC assess conflicts of interest and the management strategies employed to manage conflicts of interest in the public interest; and
- How lobbying is regulated in Queensland.
