Time to Talk Meetings - Julie
About
Following the Government's announcement for schools to have more time for important conversations between teachers and families. This is called "Time to Talk."Our additional parent meeting day will be held on Monday the 10th of August (Week 4, Term 3).
This day is a special day for parents/families to come to school and meet with teachers. You will have a meeting to talk about your child's learning, progress, and any support they may need.
Meetings will focus on IEP discussions, therapy planning, and core essential skills. We ask you to consider both the educational and social needs of your child and to consider what long- and short-term goals you have for them. A 'focus sheet' covering these areas will be sent home prior to meetings to help you prepare. You may choose to invite any other agency personnel who work with your child. This is a good opportunity for us to collaborate with therapists to establish common goals.
Meeting times will be released closer to the date. Where possible, make other arrangements for your child's care during your meeting. We want you to be able to focus on what you want to ask and need
If you can't come to school on the meeting day, we can arrange a phone call with your child's teacher to share all the important information about your child's progress with you.
