Behind the Scenes of "Hansel & Gretel"

Join the Friends of State Opera SA and the Richard Wagner Society South Australia for an exclusive behind-the-scenes morning exploring the artistry behind Humperdinck's "Hansel & Gretel".The morning will begin with a panel discussion featuring Lucy Stoddard( Dew Fairy/Sandman), Morgan Pearse (Peter/Father), Jonathon Oxlade (Set & Costume designer) and Dr Geoffrey Seidel (President of the RWSSA), facilitated by Barbara Fergusson. Together they will explore the creation of the production, including the fascinating connection between Engelbert Humperdinck and Richard Wagner.
Following the discussion, Tracey Richardson ( head of wardrobe) will take guests in small groups for an exclusive viewing of the costumes created for the production. Jonathon Oxlade will also share insights into the set and costume design process and, if available, present design images and the production model.
The morning will conclude with an invitation to join the committees of the RWSSA and FoSO for a delicious morning tea.
NB:As there is no convenient waiting area in the ABC foyer, we kindly ask that guests DO NOT arrive before 10.15am
