Frocktails is the Sydney sewing community's favourite night out — a celebration of handmade fashion, fabulous people, fantastic frocks and fits!

Once a year, sewists from across Sydney come together to show off their makes, meet the faces behind the hashtag, and spend an evening surrounded by sewists.

Whether you've made your outfit from scratch, restyled something you've previously worn, or are still finishing the hem on the train— you're welcome here. This is a night for makers of all levels and all styles.

What are we keeping in 2026?

How do I get there?
Parking: Wilson Parking at Theatre Royal.
Public transport: Trains or light rail to Martin Place. Busses arrive nearby on Castlereagh Street and Pitt Street

Accessibility
There is a lift from the Theatre Royal lobby to the lower level of the Cabana Bar, you can then catch the lift up to the Sanctuary and Oasis Bars nearby.

Am I welcome?
Short answer, YES! Every single one of you is welcome to Frocktails. Our venue is fully accessible and we are all friendly, kind and inclusive!

How do I purchase a ticket?
Simply click on the checkout link and follow the checkout process.

Once you purchase your tickets, they will be emailed to you.
You can download the tickets with the QR code, print them or keep them in your email. We'll be scanning your QR codes at the door.

If you have bought tickets for friends, you will need to have their name and email address ready at booking to add those in.

What does my ticket include?
Each ticket includes delicious canapés to fill up your tummy, one arrival cocktail/mocktail and one follow up drink. PLUS professional photographs, the chance to win some great prizes, meet so many new friends and build your sewing community.

Name Tags
In the last years we have introduced reusable name tags for every attendee. If you still have yours from last year, please wear it again.

If you are new this year, or can't find yours from last year, you can purchase a sparkly new name tag at the door of the event.

I have dietary requirements, where can I tell you about those?
This year we are catering to Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Nut free only. If you have requirements outside of those, may I suggest that you have a light meal before coming along.

You will be able to add your requirements to your ticket on checkout.

Can I go on the waitlist for when a ticket comes up?
Sorry, we won't be hosting a waitlist this year. Keep and eye on instagram for tickets that may come up. If you are unable to attend, please tag us on an instagram post and we will re post to help you find a new owner.

Can I refund my ticket?
We can help you transfer your ticket but refunds are not possible.

Help, I need to transfer my ticket?
All tickets remain with the person who purchased them and cannot be reassigned to someone else within the system. Please contact us if you need to do this.

Do I have to wear something that I have made?
We highly encourage you to wear something you have made, whether it's part or all of your outfit, a bag, a hat or your jewellery. There won't be a prize for best dressed, as seriously, who could choose! It's a night to have fun not compete.

Even though it is a daytime event, please do feel free to dress up as much as you would like. I suggest dressing like you are going to a wedding!

Can I bring a friend?
Yes of course, the more the merrier. You can purchase as many tickets as you need... but remember to add their names or they will miss out on the chance of a prize.

How many people will be there?
200-250 sewists will be coming along. Don't be afraid to come by yourself, we are all very friendly and the aim of the night is to meet other sewists!

Will there be a photographer?
Yes! We will be uploading arrival photos to @sydneyfrocktails instagram over the following days after the event. You are welcome to use these photos in your socials - remember to tag us!

Can I get a hi res photo from the Night?
Yes! We would be happy to provide that to you. There is a small $10 fee and you will receive all photos so you can choose your favourite!

What will the prizes be?
Keep an eye out on our Instagram page and look for the #sydneyfrocktails and #sydneyfrocktails2026 tag.

How are the prizes drawn?
Names are put into a very fancy bag, in random order. On the night, we simply pull out the names. We understand that it's hard to not win a prize, We get very envious of the winners too. But please trust that your name is in there. Accosting us after the prize draw to complain you didn't win a prize, isn't a good look, nor is dissing the goodie bag.
