As Palestinian Christians in Australia (PCiA), we are deeply committed to amplifying the voices of our community, sharing our enduring faith, and building bridges of solidarity across the region. It is in this spirit of shared purpose that we are proud to support our friends across the Tasman for a profoundly important upcoming event.This national tour is proudly sponsored and funded by the National Council of Churches Australia (NCCA). In organising this tour, PCiA is also joined by the Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network (PIEN).
Dr Yousef Khoury will be in conversation with Yousef AlReemawi. They will be having a conversation on war, peace, faith and the vision for humanity.
Meet Dr. Yousef Khoury
Dr. Khoury is a Christian Palestinian theologian who was raised in Gaza, where his family still remains. He brings a vital, lived perspective to the intersection of faith, justice, and peacebuilding. He currently serves as:
Academic Dean & Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Bethlehem Bible College.
Steering Committee Member for Christ at the Checkpoint.
Board Member of Kairos Palestine.
Meet Yousef Alreemawi
Yousef Alreemawi is a Palestinian-Australian musician, scholar, linguist, internationally-renowned proofreader of Arabic content and storyteller.He is the founder and director of the Averroes Centre for Arab Culture, and the founder of ASPIRE, an NGO that contributed to the settlement of more than 250 stateless Palestinian refugees from Iraq and Syria in Australia since 2007. He is also the creator of the Palestine Remembered program on Radio 3CR, the founder/ leader of Tarab Ensemble — Australia's leading group devoted to the classical Arabic instrumental tradition — and the presenter of the Understanding Palestine Series of public lectures on the history of Palestine. In recognition of his work, Yousef won several Australian and international awards including Australia Eureka Medal (2017), the Palestinian of the Year (2021), the Ambassador of Peace (2025), and Creative Australia Award (2025).
