2026 All Church Retreat
Generosity in a field of Lavender
A retreat shaped by queer stories, hopes and spiritual longing
Generosity in a Field of Lavender is a one‑day retreat for LGBTIQA+ people and allies seeking spiritual depth, connection and reflection.
This retreat invites participants into a calm and creative space shaped by worship, Communion, guided reflection and shared conversation. Drawing on Acts 6:1–7, we will explore how generosity helps us notice real needs, respond with wisdom and imagine life‑giving community.
Across the day, we will reflect on what LGBTIQA+ people look for in the world, how queer people relate to faith, what we hope to find in spiritual community and what it means to live as LGBTIQA+ Christians. Through small‑group conversation and creative exercises, participants will name the qualities that help queer people feel seen, welcomed and encouraged to explore faith.
For those connected to MCC Sydney, the retreat will also offer space to consider how generosity might guide our next steps as a community. Visitors and friends from other churches are warmly welcome to participate in the spiritual and reflective elements of the day.
We will close with a joyful sing‑along of hymns and praise songs, celebrating the hope and resilience of queer faith.
All are welcome to join us for a day of reflection, connection and gentle discernment.
Registration Fee: $10 or pay what you can
