Breathing, Sleep and Airway Health
About
Many of us in the health care professions with little ones in our care, carry the monumental responsibility of supporting the whole family as they navigate an increasingly challenging health-care system, especially when it comes to breathing health.
This 2-day hands-on workshop is designed for healthcare professionals with established experience in any form of airway care - medical, dental, allied health who are seeking to expand their skill set. This workshop will focus on whole health and airway health optimisation - a preventive health mindset and early intervention.
If you want to learn how to design and implement functional therapy programs that are easy for families to do at home with 2-5 year olds, and hear from world renowned medical, dental and allied health experts, you are in the right place.
This workshop is hands-on experiential learning, so come prepared to have some fun.
You will learn
• why sleep is a key pillar of health, alongside three other foundation pillars of health
• screening and therapy protocols built over 4 decades of working with medical and dental specialists
• how to design and implement age-appropriate functional 'airway' treatment for 2–5-year-old children
• tried and true therapy techniques, a functional approach that includes strategies beyond OMT
• the interdisciplinary care team required to fully treat children with sleep and breathing challenges
