In person Workshop: Sensing Stability
About
Sensing StabilitySunday 22 November 2026 | 12:00–3:00 pm
Yoga Lyfe, Middle Park
What if stability wasn't something you had to hold, but something you could sense?
This in-person workshop will be held at Yoga Lyfe and will run from 12:00–3:00 pm.
The afternoon will include:
Two Awareness Through Movement® lessons
A guided talk and shared discussion
The focus of this workshop is stability—not as something we create by holding ourselves still, but as something that emerges through awareness, support and movement.
Through gentle, guided movement explorations, we'll investigate how stability develops when we sense the support beneath us, reduce unnecessary effort and allow different parts of ourselves to work together more effectively. Together, we'll explore how a greater sense of stability can support more comfortable, adaptable and confident movement in everyday life.
Rather than striving for a particular posture or technique, you'll be invited to approach movement with curiosity, discovering how stability can emerge through improved organisation and a clearer relationship with the ground.
As with all Feldenkrais® workshops, there is no right way to move. The emphasis is on exploration, noticing and discovering new possibilities for movement.
It is an opportunity to explore these ideas within the support of a group, allowing learning to unfold through shared presence and individual experience.
The workshop is suitable for a wide range of bodies and movement experiences. No previous experience with the Feldenkrais Method is required.
Light afternoon tea will be provided.
