4ZZZ Radiothon Mystery Bushwalk (SOLD OUT)
About
Join 4ZZZ's resident hiking expert and host of Alphabet Soup, Linda, for a special guided bush walk during this year's Radiothon!!! This event is free, with an option to donate to 4ZZZ.The walk will be:
-40mins south west of Fortitude Valley (the location will be provided 48 hours prior to the walk)
-8.2km return (approx. 3hrs)
-It will be an overall uphill bush walk to a summit (but it is a relatively moderate uphill trek)
-Walkers only (NOT dog friendly)
-Suitable for teenagers
-Open to 15 people max
Walkers must be prepared to bring:
-Adequate water (2L recommended)
-Food/morning tea to enjoy at the top!
-Appropriate footwear
-Hat and sunscreen as some parts of the walk will be open forest and the summit does not provide much cover.
An emergency beacon and first aid kit will be available in case of emergency and the weather will be monitored in advance of the walk to ensure the trail is safe for use.
