Volunteers are a vital part to the success of The Miracle League program. The various volunteer roles are outlined below.
BUDDY
Each Miracle League player is assigned a buddy for each game. The Buddy is there to protect the player from balls, assist the player in batting and running the bases, and to be a friend on and off the field. Full details can be found at https://www.portmagpies.com/how-to-become-a-buddy

REQUIREMENTS:
Buddies must be at least 12 years old (or have parent volunteer assist). We encourage Buddies to be available for the full 6-week program where possible, as consistency helps build relationships with players. However, volunteers are also welcome to book in for individual sessions.

IMPORTANT– All Volunteers 14 yrs+ will need to provide a current Working With Children Check (WWCC). SA.GOV.AU - Apply for a screening check (www.sa.gov.au)

OTHER VOLUNTEER ROLES: Include helping with training stations, sign-in/registration, canteen, audio announcer, and set up/pack up of games
