About
The program is a fantastic opportunity over three days to learn all about the aviation industry, including flying an aircraft for a full hour! You will also learn more about the other incredible careers you can have in the aviation industry, including Air Traffic Control, Engineering, Defence, and more!Flight Training
Participants get involved with real flight training; not only will they fly an aircraft and a simulator under the supervision of an instructor, they will also be given the background knowledge of aerodynamics and aircraft systems. The program will include:
1 full hour of in-aircraft flight training
1 full hour of simulator flight training
2 full theory briefings on practical flying
Pre-flight preparation briefs
Post-flight de-brief
A group discussion about starting full flight training - parents welcome!
After completing the program, students will have a great baseline of knowledge to launch into full flight training and a career if they wish, including all the important next steps to take to become a pilot!

Aviation is a diverse industry with opportunities for any kind of career that attendees will engage with as well.
Visit the Jandakot Airport Air Traffic Control Tower. Climb all the way to the top and meet the ATC staff that keep us safe in the air. See how they manage so many aircraft without issue day in day out. Dealing with different aircraft types, speeds and operators including police helicopters or the Royal Flying Doctors Service. You will be with them whilst they work
Visit The Royal Flying Doctors Service and speak with real world line pilots who operate not just around Perth, but out in remote Australia. Get an up-close look at how these pilots manage not only their high performance aircraft but also passengers in need keeping them safe for their journey.
All School Holidays programs allows access to the "Airside" part of the airport (where the aircraft are parked, taxi and takeoff). Walking across taxiways and passed aircraft to get to ours for the flight training. Students are more than welcome to take photos whilst we are Airside so long as the instructor deems it safe to do so. Please ask prior we are more than happy to provide :)
All time flown in the plane and in the sim can be logged in the students logbook. This will count towards any licence they choose to pursue in the future.
Jumpstart Program
For those who know that flight training is the path for them, an extra flying lesson can be added on as well! We can work with you to tailor the training to what kind of pilot you want to be, whether private or one of the many kinds of commercial pilot.
