This page is for members of 1st Woodend Scout Group to confirm their attendance at Campaspe parkrun on Saturday 1 August 2026 as we celebrate ScoutFest and World Scout Day.To help us know who will be attending, please select a ticket for every member of the 1st Woodend Scouting community joining us on the day - including Scouts, parents, siblings and supporters. This helps us plan for numbers and ensure everyone is included.
It is also possible to use this form to purchase a World Scout Day Blanket Badge for every participant. A group order will be made by 1st Woodend Scout Group after the event and distributed in an upcoming program night.
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
On 1 August each year, Scouts around the world celebrate World Scout Day, marking the founding of the Scout Movement.
This year, we’re heading out into our local community and joining Campaspe parkrun - sharing our Scout spirit, meeting other community members, and showing what Scouting is all about!
parkrun is a free, fun and friendly weekly 5km community event held every Saturday morning in 2,300 locations around the world - including right here in Woodend.
On Saturday 1 August, we’re inviting Scouts, families and volunteers to join in. You can walk, jog, run, volunteer or simply come along and cheer everyone on - there’s a place for everyone!
VOLUNTEERING
There are lots of opportunities to volunteer at parkrun, and no previous experience is needed. We particularly need adult volunteers to support key parkrun roles.
Scouts under 18 who volunteer will need to be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult - which simply means more people joining in the fun! Both the scout and adult should select a ticket so we know who is volunteering.
Please use this form to let us know how you would like to be involved. Volunteering sign up will close on Wednesday 29 July. Once signed up via this form, we’ll send you the link to register with parkrun directly.
RUN, WALK OR JOG
Taking part in the 5km parkrun is a great way to celebrate World Scout Day with your Scout friends and the wider Woodend community.
Youth under 11 years of age must remain within arm’s length of a parent/guardian or responsible adult throughout the event.
Whether you run, jog, walk or take it at your own pace, we’d love to see as many Scouts and families there as possible!
And of course, participating Scouts will be adding kilometres towards their Walkabout Award - a great way to combine fitness, adventure and celebrating Scouting with our local community!
EVENT DETAILS
When: Saturday 1 August 2026. Run starts at 8am
Please arrive at:
7:30am if you are volunteering
7:45am if you are walking, jogging or running
Where: Campaspe Park, Woodend VIC 3442
Registration: Everyone participating or volunteering needs to register with parkrun before attending. You will need to bring your personal barcode with you (a digital copy on your phone is fine).

What to wear: Scouts past and present are encouraged to wear their Scout scarf, uniform or other Scouting attire. A Scout blanket is also a great way to stay warm on a winter morning!
Special note: Parents remain responsible for their children throughout this activity.
