Date: Friday 14 August 2026The excursion is aimed at stages 4 and 5 but all ages are welcome.
Please note - Parent are not required to attend the Big Dig part of the day. Parents who do not wish to attend may wait outside The Big Dig Education Centre.
Groundwork: Archaeology at The Big Dig - Students will use written and archaeological sources to undertake an investigation into the lives of some of the people who lived and worked in The Rocks in the 1800s.
Silk Road to Gold Tracks - At the Chinese Gardens at Darling Harbour. We'll examine the history of Chinese immigration to Australia, track migration routes and observe how these past and present communities have shaped modern multiculturalism.
