Celebrate the long anticipated debut EP, 'FLORA', of Kaurna-based (ADL) Ukranian/Australian forest contemporary folk/folk pop artist Marina Anthea (with band). Her music is compared to artists AURORA, beabadoobee, Billie Eilish, The Army, The Navy, Lizzy McAlpine, and Big Thief. Marina is the 2026 recipient of the GIJ Vocal Scholarship, fresh off the WOMADelaide and New Found Sound Festival 2026 stages.Flora made their mark on Naarm’s alt-folk scene with their debut self-titled album (2024). Floras music reflects reverence for the land, weaving narratives of healing and resilience, marrying country-gaze and alternative-folk with a punk ethos. Accompanied by the band they sing about times in dark places, queer grief, apologies and remembering home. Flora will play with Naarm musicians Lali Hodgkins (banjo, bvs) and Pia Nesvara (violin, bvs) to present old and new songs in a stringband trio format.
