The Murray Concert Choir’s September concert will be “Paths of Light”, with Catherine Nash, Music Director.A thematic journey from reflection to grandeur.
From jubilant celebration to radiant sacred splendour, "Paths of Light” traces a musical journey across continents and centuries. In the first half, contemporary Australian and American works by Lyn Williams, Stephen Paulus, Eric Whitacre and Paul Jarman explore themes of longing, belonging and hope. The second half turns to the grandeur and devotion of the European sacred tradition, featuring the music of Handel and Purcell, and a wonderful Mozart Mass.
