Beyond Age exhibition - celebration event

Join us to celebrate the Beyond Age exhibition.This inspiring exhibition features photographs and personal reflections from Beyond Age, a project that invited 20 Whitehorse community members to share their unique experiences of ageing. Participants contributed a photograph of their younger self and were then photographed as they are today by professional photographer Suzanne Phoenix. Alongside their portraits, they share the advice they would give their younger selves about growing older.
What to expect:
* Hosted by Dilnaz Billimoria, recipient of the 2025 Victorian Seniors Award for Promoting Multiculturalism, project participant, community volunteer and community connector.
* Guest speaker, Joanna Maxwell, former Director, Age Discrimination and Age Research at the Australian Human Rights Commission, advocate and author, will discuss how to flourish as we age.
* Our panel of lived experience and subject matter experts will share insights about ageing and ageism.
* View the Beyond Age exhibition.
* Enjoy a light lunch and conversation.

If you can't make this event, you can still see the exhibition at Box Hill Community Arts Centre from Monday 19 October to Sunday 25 October.
