KASAYSAYAN 4.0 — Unfolding of StoriesTheatre Workshop Showcase 2026

Kasaysayan is a Cebuano word meaning the unfolding of stories. This will be the fourth edition of our annual development showcase — an evening of work-in-progress pieces to be performed by international students who have spent months finding their voice, their body, and their story.
Every piece in the program will be developed through the Tinikling Devising Methodology. This is Roman Berry's own practice, rooted in embodied memory and the body as the first instrument of storytelling. Participants will write without stopping, circle what surprises them, and shape their fragments into something true, often in more than one language.
On the night you will hear stories from India, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, France, Macao and the Philippines. This will be a development showing, a generous, open space where work in progress is witnessed, not judged. The writing belongs to the students. The stage is simply where it will breathe for the first time.
