This one-day workshop is designed for community organisers who rent and support renters. It focuses on the most common crisis points in a tenancy - eviction, rent increases, repairs, and proving a lease - building the knowledge and confidence to respond. The emphasis is on practical scenarios, recognising red flags, and knowing when and how to push back. A central theme is the power imbalance between renters and landlords or real estate agents. A key outcome is participants feeling confident to say: “Let’s let NCAT decide.”
