Come join us for an evening of poetry, food, music and connection.This is a not-for-profit event dedicated to amplifying Queer, POC, and First Nations writers and authors. It's a space to listen, share, connect and experience a vulnerable, intimate art-form. Whether you'd like to read, write, or just listen, everyone is welcome. We do ask for all attendees to be respectful, and take shared responsibility of creating a safe environment for people to share comfortably.
The evening includes:
* Open mic poetry
* Featured readings by Mon & special guest Le Anne
* Guided poetry writing
* A nourishing food altar by Akoma Nkoso
* Ambient soundscapes by Sister Deep
* A curated gift bag for every attendee
* Humble Ego Journals available to purchase
All proceeds will be donated to: Red Room Poetry, Not Safe For Queers, and Q-LIT.
Free entry for Mob/First Nations people. Please email us to reserve your spot.
