Adrian Galante is a “ferociously talented young pianist and clarinetist” (New York Times). Possessing a lyrical “vocal-like” quality on the clarinet, his expressive playing exhibits a melancholic romanticism combined with a joyous feeling for swing, bebop, and the blues.

Adrian grew up in WA and moved to New York in 2023. His achievements in the USA include the recording of his first album in Hollywood, with some of the finest musicians in the country. His debut performance at New York’s famous Birdland Jazz Club was greeted with critical acclaim by some of the most respected critics around. Andrew Portez wrote "The young Perth, Australia native is an extraordinary musician who appears to be equally gifted as a clarinetist as he is a pianist. His exquisite lyrical playing created an emotionally satisfying close to one of the best sets this reviewer has heard in years.”

Recently, Charles Isherwood wrote in the Wall Street Journal. “The handsome, personable Mr. Galante dazzles....I can’t say enough about the remarkable level of musicianship on display."

Fortunately for us, Adrian returns to Perth regularly to visit family and friends and loves playing at the Fremantle Workers Club. As always, he will be joined on stage by outstanding local jazz musicians who will be announced soon.

His concerts always sell out in advance so we suggest you book soon to avoid disappointment. Early bird tickets are available until August 15th.
