The Hills Model Railway Society is holding its annual exhibition again this year, and it's grown: more layouts on display than last time, covering all sorts of scales, eras and locations, each one built and run by modellers from around NSW.
Next to the outdoor eating area is the live steam exhibition. There's nothing quite like hearing a real steam whistle in the open air, and the kids will love it.
More trade stands are attending, with dealers selling locomotives, rolling stock, scenery, accessories and tools, plus all the odds and ends modellers are always after. Got models you no longer need? Contact the Hills Model Railway Society to sell it at the Bring and Buy Sale. Alternatively, come and see what other people are selling. You might find a bargain!
There's a raffle too, with some fantastic prizes on offer again. Tickets are sold on the day.

Child (5-16): $8

Family (2 adults, 2 children): $30
There's plenty of free parking on site at the Racecourse, and it's a short walk from Clarendon Station on the Richmond line (T1 North Shore and Western Line) if you're coming by train. Trains run every 30 minutes.
