About

This 5-hour in-person workshop will explore the Integrated Core Needs Approach, a perinatal-focused framework that understands mental health and wellbeing through the lens of core emotional needs. Informed by Attachment Theory, Circle of Security and Schema Therapy, the framework provides clinicians with a practical and accessible way to explore emotional wellbeing, attachment experiences, coping patterns, relationships and parenting experiences during pregnancy and early parenthood. The approach combines a clinical framework with parent-facing resources that support psychoeducation, reflection, formulation and intervention across both face-to-face and telehealth settings.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Symon Oliveri is an Infant and Perinatal Therapist and an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with almost 20 years of experience supporting families in Australia and internationally. She is the founder of Contigo Child and Family, a specialist perinatal and trauma service dedicated to supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, birth and parenthood. Symon holds a master’s degree in social work. She has completed extensive training in trauma, attachment, infant and perinatal mental health, including advanced training in Circle of Security and Schema Therapy. Symon is deeply passionate about supporting people through the transformative journey of becoming a parent and recognises both the beauty and the challenges of this time.
