Curious about how jazz musicians improvise, but not sure where to begin?Maybe you have an instrument sitting at home that you haven't played for years. Or perhaps you've always wanted to learn one but weren't sure where to start.
This relaxed, welcoming, and occasionally silly workshop is designed for complete newcomers. Through fun, approachable musical activities, you'll experience for yourself how Anyone Can Improvise!
No previous jazz, improvisation, or other musical training is required.
If you already have an instrument, bring it along. If not, no problem! We'll provide a small xylophone, everything you need to enjoy and complete the workshop.
Simply arrive as you are, be open to trying something new, and enjoy the experience. Before you leave, you'll have improvised by yourself and with others—a new dimension to explore throughout your musical life.
To keep the workshop small and interactive, places are limited. Early registration is recommended.
