Discover the world of cyanotypeIn this 3 hour workshop we will create unique greeting cards using the sun to make prints.
Cyanotype is an old photographic alternative process that was invented in the mid-nineteenth century. The cyanotype chemical captures light and shadow through exposure to ultraviolet light from the sun, which is why the process is referred to as sun printing.
Participants will learn about cyanotype and how to create their own sun prints using leaves, stencils and other objects that will be left in the sun to develop. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring along your own small objects to use for your prints.
You will take home your unique prints, which can be kept as cherished artworks or as gifts for someone special.
