About
This seasons workshop, run by Jaeden Williams-Briggs of Biik Bundjil, will delve into the six distinct Boonwurrung seasons, each marked by unique environmental changes, flora, fauna, and cultural practices. Jaeden is a proud Yalukit Willam man of the Boonwurrung and both the founder and director of Biik Bundjil.Through interactive lessons, storytelling, and activities, students will gain insights into traditional ecological knowledge and the sustainable practices used by the Boonwurrung to care for Country. This workshop not only enhances students’ understanding of First Peoples perspectives but also aligns with curriculum goals in environmental science, history, and cultural studies, offering a well-rounded educational experience.
