Join us for the Kameruka Sprint, Stride 'n Stroll Fun Run – a fun, family-friendly 5km community event for all ages and fitness levels! Whether you're chasing a personal best, enjoying a leisurely stroll, or dressing up in your favourite costume, everyone is welcome.The course starts and finishes at Lord's Oval, Kameruka Estate, with check-in from 9:30am and the event kicking off at 10:00am on Saturday, 24 October 2026.
The Candelo Public School P&C BBQ will be operating on the day, and a coffee van will be onsite, so stick around after the event to enjoy a bite to eat, grab a coffee, and catch up with the community.
Please note: Fancy dress is encouraged!!

PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

The Kameruka Sprint, Stride 'n' Stroll ("Event") is organised by the Event Organising Committee, its officers, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, landowners and associated parties ("Organisers").
By registering for, attending or participating in the Event, each participant acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. Acknowledgement of Risks
I understand that participation in the Event involves inherent and foreseeable risks, including but not limited to:
• Slips, trips and falls on roads, trails, grass, gravel and uneven surfaces.
• Collisions with other participants, spectators, vehicles, barriers or objects.
• Weather-related hazards including heat, rain, wind and reduced visibility.
• Physical exertion resulting in dehydration, fatigue, strains, sprains, fractures or other injuries.
• Injury, illness, permanent disability or death.
I acknowledge that these risks cannot be completely eliminated.

2. Voluntary Participation
I voluntarily choose to participate in the Event and assume all risks associated with my participation.
I accept personal responsibility for my actions and conduct throughout the Event.

3. Health and Fitness
I declare that I am medically and physically fit to participate.
I understand it is my responsibility to assess my own fitness and suitability for participation.
I agree not to participate if affected by illness, injury, alcohol, drugs or any condition that may place myself or others at risk.

4. Compliance with Event Rules
I agree to:
• Follow all directions provided by Event Organisers, volunteers, marshals and emergency services personnel.
• Remain on the designated course.
• Respect other participants, volunteers and members of the public.
• Comply with all safety instructions throughout the Event.
I understand that the Organisers reserve the right to refuse participation or remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, abusive or who fails to comply with Event rules or directions.

5. No Pets
For the safety of all participants, pets are not permitted on the Event course or within the Event precinct.
This does not apply to registered assistance/service animals accompanying their handler.

6. Parents and Guardians
Where a participant is under 18 years of age, the parent or legal guardian:
• Consents to the child's participation.
• Accepts the risks associated with participation on behalf of the child.
• Agrees to ensure the child follows all Event rules and safety directions.

7. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and discharge the Organisers, volunteers, sponsors, landowners and associated parties from any claim, liability, loss, damage or expense arising from or connected with my participation in the Event.
Nothing in this waiver excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

8. Event Changes and Refunds
I acknowledge that the Event may be altered, postponed or cancelled due to weather, safety concerns or circumstances beyond the Organisers' control.
Should the Event be cancelled for any reason, registered participants will be offered a full refund of their registration fee.

9. Medical Treatment
In the event of injury or illness, I authorise the Organisers to obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf where necessary.
I acknowledge that any associated medical costs remain my responsibility.

10. Photography and Media
Photographs and video recordings may be taken throughout the Event for promotional, marketing and historical purposes.
Participants who do not wish to be photographed or filmed must notify the Event Organisers in writing prior to the Event by emailing:

Unless written notice is received prior to the Event, I consent to the use of my image for Event-related promotional purposes without compensation.

11. Acceptance
By registering for, attending or participating in the Event, I confirm that:
• I have read and understood this Waiver.
• I understand the risks associated with participation.
• I voluntarily accept those risks.
• I agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
• Where registering another participant, I confirm I have authority to accept these terms on their behalf.
