PlayGround aims to nurture, embolden and advance theatrical playwriting from North Queensland in a supportive and professional environment. The Shortlist of plays chosen will move into the Creative Development stage where each script will be workshopped by the TheatreiNQ Company Ensemble led by Company Resident Playwrights Shannon Jensen and Michael Sams, throughout November 2026. The chosen plays will then be given a public playreading over the PlayGround Writers' Festival Weekend on Sat Dec 5 & Sun Dec 6.This booking portal allows you to submit details of your script and pay the application fee. You will be contacted directly requesting your script be sent through for reading to theatreinqplayground@gmail.com
