Perth Rotary Lunch | The Honourable Richard Court AC
For this fifth lunch meeting of our Perth Rotary Centenary Year, our meeting Chair - Past President Wesley Sim - invites you to join us for Rotary Fellowship and hear from our speaker: the Honourable Richard Court AC – Premier of Western Australia 1993-2001, Australian Ambassador to Japan 2017 -2020.
On 1st September, 1926, Rotary International became a part of WA with the first lunch meeting of Perth Rotarians held at the King Edward Hotel in Perth. On 4th September, 2026, our lunch meeting will recognise the 100th anniversary of this historic occasion. Past President Wesley Sim will lead this occasion with his focus on the Perth Rotary's legacy to the people of Perth and Western Australia through its 100 years of Rotary Service.
The Honourable Richard Court AC will continue this theme, speaking to the presentation title: "Firm foundation: How opportunities for WA's future are built on our state's past."
While history and legacy are often thought of in terms of events and achievements, the real legacy is the impact on the community and individual's lives today. That is what builds the future.
