CARE- Extracorporeal Therapy Launch Seminar
About
CARE is excited to announce expansion of our emergency and critical care service to include extracorporeal therapies, starting with offering therapeutic plasma exchange for management of immune mediated disease and toxin ingestion. This service is being offered by Dr Christine Lovatt DACVECC, through our specialist critical care service. We are offering membrane-based therapeutic plasma exchange through the Vantive Prismaflex® platform, a well recognised and utilized platform worldwide for veterinary TPE. Therapeutic plasma exchange can be utilized to improve patient outcomes in immune mediated haemolytic anaemia, immune mediated thrombocytopaenia, polyradiculoneuritis, myasthenia gravis and glomerulonephritis, as well as be the gold standard treatment option for severe NSAID overdose, and other human medication ingestions such as baclofen and some cardiac medications.
We will be accepting referrals for this service 24 hours a day.
To celebrate the launch of this exciting, cutting edge therapy being available to pets in Melbourne for the first time, we will be hosting a webinar for all referral partners to outline the benefits and the referral process for this service.
