BPN QLD networking event 2026: UQ
About
Join the BioProcessing Network (BPN) for a networking event on Tuesday afternoon, 4th August, at the University of Queensland. The event will be hosted by the UQ Biosustainability Hub (Biohub), who conceive bio-based solutions to tackle challenges and create sustainable, economically viable solutions.Biohub’s research has applications across a range of industries, including mining, energy, chemical manufacturing, food, water and agriculture. Amongst several ongoing projects, researchers at the UQ Biosustainability Hub are working with MSF Sugars to create highly valuable rare sugars in ‘microbial cell factories.’ These offer the same sweetness as raw sugar with less calories.
Optional tours will showcase the Biohub’s facilities and bioprocessing capabilities including high-throughput precision fermentation, pilot scale production, analytical systems, robotic automation and more.
Whether you work in industry, academia or government, this event is an opportunity to connect with peers, explore new collaborations and discover how a connected bioprocessing ecosystem is helping advance Australia's sovereign biomanufacturing capability.
