Information Night, Tuesday 28 July, 7.00pm, The Central Synagogue
For years we have packed our children's bags and sent them to Poland, and watched them come home carrying our story in a way we never did ourselves. Most of us have never made that journey. Now it is our turn.
This is a walk into our history you were never meant to take alone. That is the whole point of doing it together. When the day is heavy, there is a woman beside you who feels it too. When you stand where your own family may have stood, you are held. Come with your mother, your sister, your daughter, or come on your own and find yourself among women who understand without a word.
Guiding us is our own Ari Schneider, a founder of Orah, who has guided at Yad Vashem and the Sydney Jewish Museum and is completing her Masters in Holocaust studies. Having her beside us changes what this journey can be.
This journey is for every woman in our community, whether you are seeking a deeper connection to your heritage, carrying a family story of your own, or simply feel called to bear witness.
Come to the information night to hear the vision, the itinerary and the costs, meet the team, and decide if this is your time to walk the path of our history. Bring the women you love, and bring your questions.

About Orah Sydney
Orah connects Jewish women in Sydney to a more meaningful, purpose-driven life through sisterhood, learning and community. We believe that when you inspire a woman, you inspire a family, and that the warmth one woman finds has a way of reaching her children, her friends and everyone around her. What began as a small grassroots program for mothers has grown into a circle of hundreds of women who gather, learn and grow together, each finding her own connection to Jewish life in her own way.
