Missional Things: pathways - Wednesday 26th August 2026
About
An invitation to conversations about missional things. An invitation to community.
Our fourth gathering for a conversation about missional things is coming up soon, with a focus on “pathways”.
Many of our congregations connect with people in our local communities through missional activities like food support, op shops, playgroups, community gardens, emergency relief and involvement in other kinds of community services and outreach. Often significant trust is developed through years of fabulous work for the common good.
But how do we develop pathways between the relationships and connections we have where our missional activities meet people beyond our congregations, and the life and rhythms of the communities and spaces where we gather for worship and discipleship? What would it look like to be intentional about this?
Our next missional things gathering will be a conversation facilitated by our Synod’s New & Renewing Catalyst, Rev Mat Harry, to explore these questions.
This gathering is for you if you’re interested in exploring missional things – how might we offer the Spirit-given gifts we all have in expressions of God’s love and in participation in God’s mission in the world, even if it looks a little different to how we usually “do” church. Come with your wonderings and questions. Let’s put ourselves in the way of inspiration and encouragement and have a taste together of what God’s Spirit is stirring in us and in our communities.
Hope you can join us.
